Just last month, Robert Downey Jr. told MTV News that he might not be starring in a feature film version of “Cowboys and Aliens” after all, despite earlier reports. But “Cowboys and Aliens” producers and screenwriters Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman haven’t given up on getting the actor to star in the adaptation of a Platinum Studios graphic novel.
The pair told SCI FI Wire that they have been speaking with Downey about starring in the movie.
“We’ve been talking to him about that,” Orci said. “He’s one of the busiest men on the face of the Earth. If the schedule can line up, we’d absolutely love it.”

As you may already know, Fox and Marvel want to reboot both the Fantastic Four and Daredevil and it looks like a certain “Starbuck” may be angling to play none other than Typhoid Mary!
Recently, Katee Sackhoff (”Starbuck” on Battlestar Galactica) was seen at Golden Apple Comics in Los Angeles purchasing as many comics featuring Typhoid Mary as possible. Now of course there’s no guarantee that she’ll be playing the pyrokinetic villain, or is even being considered, but it’s a darn good bet she wants to play her!

A still from Invisible City. The true mark of a good film festival is going to see a myriad of films, really digging them, and then seeing a whole slew of others win the year’s awards. It’s a finely honed talent to miss all the award-winners, and yes, it can certainly be quite aggravating to always pick films that don’t get the award love they deserve. However, it also means that there are too many goodies to choose from. On Friday night, Hot Docs announced this year’s award winners—a group of excellent docs that were certainly buzzed about during the festival—and once again, a whole slew of films I wasn’t able to catch for you.
